Who we are

AI Expert Sydney is an applied AI consultancy based in Sydney, New South Wales, working with clients across Australia. For any privacy question, or to make a request or complaint, contact us through our contact form.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic technical information about your visit.

• Enquiry forms. Your name, email address, and the message you write. Company name, phone number and the topic of your enquiry are optional.
• Email sign-ups. Your email address, and the date you signed up.
• Analytics. Pages viewed, approximate location (city level), referring site, device and browser type, and how you move through the site. This is collected in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you personally.
• Email you send us. Anything you include when you write to us directly.

We do not ask for sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act, and we ask that you do not send it through the forms on this site. We do not collect payment details through this website.

Why we collect it

We use enquiry details to answer you, to scope and quote work, and to keep a record of the conversation. We use email sign-ups to send occasional articles and updates; every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off the list. We use analytics to understand which pages are useful and where the site is confusing, so we can improve it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information to train AI models.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-J35ZS63WZD), a service provided by Google. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit, including a randomly generated identifier, the pages you view and a truncated version of your IP address. Google processes this on our behalf so we can see aggregate traffic patterns. Google may transfer and store this information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or by using your browser's private browsing mode. The site works normally either way. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we do not run third-party ad trackers.

The fonts on this site are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send a request to Google Fonts.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers, and only for the purposes above.

• Google Analytics — website analytics, as described above.
• Our hosting and automation providers — form submissions are delivered to our own systems through a secure webhook so an enquiry reaches a person. Published articles are stored with Supabase.
• Email and calendar providers — so we can reply to you and arrange meetings.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia. By using the forms on this site, you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle information securely, but we cannot control their own practices beyond the terms they offer. We will otherwise disclose personal information only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we may need it for the working relationship and for our own business records, and then delete or de-identify it. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained by Google under the retention period set on our property.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send your request through our contact form and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request. We may need to verify your identity before we act on it.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first through our contact form so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and the business change. The current version always appears on this page with the date it was last updated.
